Welcome to our world of testing, retreat for Confirmation, Confirmation, and the continued effort to finish the school year with as much of the content as possible!
For 8th grade Social Studies we are moving at a very slow pace toward the Civil War! We may even produce a newspaper from the North and South points of view! We can always dream.
The Renaissance is our goal for the 7th grade, with video from the History Channel to enhance the subject’s content.
The 6th grade are studying the Middle East, and how the Muslim religion arose! They will choose a country and do a quilt block to represent that country. It is Westward Ho for our 5th grade. Then, as time permits, we will begin our study of the Civil War.
Religion in the 5th & 6th grade concerns the virtue of Hope, the three theological virtues of Faith, Hope, and Charity, and the Cardinal (Moral) virtues of Temperance, Prudence, Justice, and Courage. Confirmation is on our minds and in our hearts for the 8th graders!
This week we are testing in the 5, 7, and 8 grades on Wednesday-Friday.
