Mary Carrico Catholic School Welcomes New Principal

Mary Carrico Catholic School welcomes our new principal, Martha Warren.

Martha Warren has been a lifelong member of Saint Alphonsus Catholic Church. She is from a large family, nine brothers and two sisters. Her parents are Jean Murphy and late Murray Murphy. She has five daughters and seven grandchildren.

Martha attended one year at Mount Saint Joseph Academy and graduated from Owensboro Catholic High School in 1980. She earned her BA degree from Brescia in 1984 and her Masters from WKU in 1988 and received her Rank I in Educational Leadership in 1996 from WKU.

Martha began her teaching career at Immaculate School in Owensboro where she taught for a year and a half. She also taught at Christ the King in Madisonville for one semester. She worked for the Daviess County Schools for 18 years. Martha taught at Stanley Elementary, Audubon Elementary and Daviess County Middle School. She served as staff developer at Burns Middle School for one year. From 2004-2015 she served as principal of Lewisport Elementary and North Hancock Elementary in Hancock County. Martha retired from Hancock County Schools in 2014.

Mary Carrico School looks forward to continued growth and success under Ms. Warren’s leadership.
